Halloween Skally-Wagon
Paint a plain wagon with waves and portholes to create a trick-or-treat craft that any little pirate would be honored to pull.

Primer
- Gray (#51318)
- Protective gloves and eye wear
- Newspaper to protect work surface & for masking
- Vacuum cleaner and/or Tack cloth
- Painter’s tape
- Mineral Spirits and a shop cloth
- Sand paper - fine grit
- Protect the work surface with newspaper.
- Lightly sand the metal wagon base and vacuum clean or use a tack cloth
- Wipe with mineral spirits.
- Paint the metal wagon base with Gray Primer. Let dry
- Lightly sand all wooden surfaces
- Remove all dust with a vacuum followed by a tack cloth
- Paint all surfaces with Gray primer. Let dry
- Once dry clean with tack cloth again.
Wagon Base
- Following the instructions on the can spray the metal with Classic Gray. Let dry.
- Create the waves with artwork and a vinyl cutter, a stencil or free hand drawing.
- Tape off the base of the ship leaving the waves unmasked.
- Paint the waves with Island Splash following the instructions on the can. Let dry.
- Carefully remove the masking and set the wagon base aside to dry further.
Wagon Slides
- Following the instructions on the can spray the wood sides with Classic Gray. Let dry.
- Using vinyl or stencils create the ship name and portholes.
- Mask off the Classic Gray portion that will not be painted.
- Following the instructions on the can spray the portholes and ship name with Purple. Let dry.
- Let cure for 24-72 hours before assembling the wagon.
Jolly Roger
- 1 piece of 8 1/2” by 11” 3mm craft foam in black.
- Cut out two skull and cross bones from white 3mm craft foam.
- Glue the skull and cross bones to the black craft foam. 1 on each side. Let dry.
- Cut three one inch slits near one end of the black craft foam and attach the Jolly Roger to the wagon handle with three pieces of black ribbon.
